MESSAGES

There was a little old lady,
Cute as a button and quiet as a mouse,
Her sky was very dark and shady,
I met her in a red brick house,

She had a complex story,
Not too many words but eyes with much to say,
She told me life will never be hunky-dory,
Her messages are forever with me from today,

There was an articulate man,
Full of wisdom to share as in a circle we sat,
His message made me see that yes I am strong and that yes I can,
While immersed in a deep chat,

There was a powerful drug,
Forbidding real happiness while inducing inner fear,
Draining me dry like a blood sucking bug,
Determined to make its evil messages clear.
